Restaurant Allegrìo, new to the restaurant scene in Rome and unique in its kind, was awarded a very interesting position in the classic 50 top Pizza 2023, the 19th. But that’s not all, it also won the special award The One Watch!
Rome, 13 July 2023 – Allegrìo, the new international ambient food destination place, created by Sabrina Corbo, where taste and design come together with mastery and scenic beauty. In just over a more than a month after its opening has already gained recognition: a position in the ranking of the 50 Top Pizzerias in Italy 2023, 19th place in the ranking.
An important result decreed by the most influential guide in the pizza world, 50 Top Pizza, and announced yesterday at the Teatro Argentina in Rome, during an exciting ceremony.
The One To wach award
But it doesn’t stop there, thanks to its multi–award–winning master pizza makers Ivano Veccia and Peppe Aiello, Allegrìo received the special award THE ONE TO WATCH, a new prestigious award in this edition of 50 Top Pizza in Italy. (i.e. The Pizza to Watch!).
Further recognition for the 3rd best pizzeria in the Lazio region, which is represented by 13 pizzerias in the ranking.

Allegrìo, thanks to its position in the Italy ranking, automatically enters the list of the 100 Best Pizzerias in the World (13 September at the Palazzo Reale in Naples)!
Top pizzas of Italy 2023
According to the most influential guide in the pizza world, 50 Top Pizza, there are two renowned pizzerias from Campania among the top ranked:
- Francesco Martucci’s I Masanielli, in Caserta and 10 Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria, in Naples, tied for Best Pizzerias in Italy for 2023.
- Second place went to I Tigli di Simone Padoan, in San Bonifacio
- The third place to Seu Pizza Illuminati di Pier Daniele Seu, in Rome.
In fourth place 50 Kalò, in Naples, by Ciro Salvo; fifth position for 180g Pizzeria Romana by Jacopo Mercuro, in Rome, which also won the special Pizza of the Year 2023 – Latteria Sorrentina Award with La Parmigiana Viaggiatrice
In sixth position we see I Masanielli but this time by Sasà Martucci, in Caserta, who also wins the coveted Pizzaiolo dell’Anno 2023 – Ferrarelle Award.
Francesco & Salvatore Salvo took seventh place in Naples, who also received the special Best Beer Service 2023 – Birrificio Fratelli Perrella Award
Dry Milano, as its name suggests, takes eighth place under the leadership of Lorenzo Sirabella
Ninth position for Cambia–Menti by Ciccio Vitiello, in Caserta, and in tenth place La Notizia 94, in Naples, by Enzo Coccia.

The Newcomer of the Year Award 2023: The Solania Award to the pizzeria Confine, in Milan. Also from Lombardy to La Cascina dei Sapori, in Rezzato (BS), goes the Frittatina di Pasta dell’Anno 2023 – Pastificio Di Martino Award.

Best Fritti Proposal – The Fritturista 2023 – Oleificio Zucchi Award goes to Sbanco in Rome. Finally, the Best Wine List 2023 – Asti DOCG Award goes to Meunier Champagne & Pizza in Corciano (PG).

It has been an exciting and very busy year for us – first Barcelona and the Europe guide, then Tokyo and the Asia Pacific guide, New York with the US guide: a journey full of excitement for the great pizza world community.
We arrived in Rome, for the first time for the Italian final, thanks to the will of Roma Capitale and of Alessandro Onorato, Councillor for Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion, who first of all believed in the tourist boost that pizza and the world of food and wine in general can give to the Capital. Thanks to the agreement between 50 Top Pizza and Quandoo – a booking tool for restaurants – from the next few weeks it will be possible to reserve a table in the affiliated pizzerias directly from the 50 Top Pizza website!
