La Pesa Varazze, the ibiza style chiringuito in Liguria

Theme nights, DJ sets and an exclusive selection of cocktails combined by innovative food offerings in a fun setting just steps from the Ligurian Sea

The beautiful season at La Pesa Kiosk in Varazze promises to be full of exotic-tasting events and evenings: from Friday, May 13, every day from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., it will be possible to drink an aperitif, dine and enjoy the summer nights, totally immersed in the characteristic Mediterranean style of the Varazzan kiosk overlooking the sea of Western Liguria.

There is a lively, relaxed and fun atmosphere at La Pesa: the venue, inspired by the style and suggestion of Ibizan clubs, hence the warm, pastel-colored décor, the flowers and ornamental objects, and the good vibes and mood that you immediately feel as soon as you step inside.

The kiosk is the result of an urban redevelopment effort. Today, La Pesa has more than 100 seats; the tables and counter overlooking the square are positioned where there used to be a gas station and the historic public weighbridge, from which the restaurant derives its name.

Dove si trova? 📍Piazza Dante Alighieri, 29, Varazze
Opening hours: Monday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The result is a location that enchants and is able to really catapult you into another space and place, where you can discover innovative food proposals and an original drink list: twists of international, balanced flavors that meet the flavors of traditional Ligurian gastronomy.

“With La Pesa I wanted to bring ‘home’ all the beauty of the Balearic bars.
I was in Formentera when, three years ago, during an aperitif, I felt it was time to get this project off the ground. The kiosk opened to the public last summer and we had a really positive response. We are ready to replicate!”

But that’s not all. For the 2022 summer season, La Pesa is once again offering exclusive aperitifs with DJ sets and international guests, as well as dinners and themed evenings; the one dedicated to sushi, featuring preparations made with fresh fish, promises to be unmissable.

From mid-May, new offerings arrive at La Pesa, made with traditional local ingredients, with contaminations of the most beloved international cuisines and dishes:

  • Tapas menu: sea bass ceviche, Seppie scottate con coniglio alla ligure (they almost look like cuttlefish noodles and the encounter with the rabbit sauce is spatial) and the typical brandacujun bruschetta, made with toasted bread served with stockfish, potatoes, garlic and parsley.
  • The Drink list : the Passione Mare, a cocktail made with Gin Mare, Ketel One Vodka, maracujia and Ginger Ale; the Plantation 3 Stars Rum ( rum, lime, Sugar and Basil; and the Portofino 75, made with gin and featuring hints of lavender and lemon.
  • Also very interesting are the non-alcoholic cocktail offerings Carmela, Sunset and Violetta, the three fresh and drinkable drinks that are also perfect immediately after a day at the beach

If you are in the Western Riviera, near Savona, a trip to La Pesa is a must try!
