Palazzo Serbelloni: the new hub for the public and the programme
The important new headquarters of the event will welcome in its large courtyard – transformed into the Wine Court of Milano Wine Week – the MWW Dome, which will host workshops, entertainment events, talks and aperitifs.
Also the Enoteca of Milano Wine Week will occupy a space in the courtyard, with a large area dedicated to tasting where it will be possible to taste a wide range of references with the support of sommeliers and experts, and interact in person with the producers present at the Winegrowers’ Table.
The MWW2022 programme will involve the whole city with tastings, special thematic events, concerts, and much more.
Wine districts in the city
For this new edition of Milano Wine Week , the 6 Wine Districts created as Consortia presidia that will animate the city were presented:
- SEMPIONE-ARCO DELLA PACE: Consortium of Asti Spumante and Moscato d’Asti DOCG District
- BRERA: Lugana DOC Protection Consortium District
- PORTA VENEZIA: Medways District
- NAVIGLI: Chianti Lovers District
- PORTA ROMANA: Colli di Parma Wine District
- EUSTACHI-PLINIO: Consortium for the Protection of Oltrepò Pavese Wines
In Milan’s iconic districts, everyone will be able to discover and participate in dedicated initiatives, including installations, immersive events and walk around tastings, as well as a series of Dinners with the Producer scheduled in some districts. The bars and restaurants in the districts will also be involved, offering interactive experiences during the week.
Also set up in the courtyard of the Palace is Casa Mipaaf, a tensile structure presided over by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies.
Scheduled events and initiatives
Several “in calendario ” events will be organised inside and outside the Palace, including walk around tastings, talks, conferences, workshops, aperitifs and dinners with producers. The aperitif as a consumption ritual in particular will be a new focus of the event, with three special events organised in collaboration with three MWW supporters: Masottina, Leone Alato and Cuvage. Palazzo Serbelloni will also host the new edition of the in-depth events promoted under the aegis of the Milano Wine Week Forums, which return this year with a renewed, more dynamic and engaging format: the Wine Generation Forum and the Habitat – Wine Sustainability Forum conference (13 October).
The institutional launch of the event is scheduled for Monday 10 October with the MWW2022 Opening Conference at Palazzo Serbelloni.

For the first time at Palazzo Serbelloni, a Wine Escape will be realised in collaboration with Winelivery. On 14 October, a special evening dedicated to the prestigious Milano Wine Club will be staged, while Sunday 16 October the weekly programme will close with ‘Milano Wine List‘: the top 100 for sommeliers of haute cuisine, with the involvement of some of the most important names of fine dining in Milan.
2 October ‘Champions Wine’, a special event on the occasion of the football match scheduled for that day will propose a new way of telling the story of wine in combination with another world, that of football;
Two events in collaboration with Touring Club:
- the guide’s 20th anniversary tasting (10 October)
- and the tasting of over 200 wines selected by the Guida Vinibuoni d’ItaliaVinibuoni d’Italia
Also Palazzo Bovara will host a series of unprecedented events, which will start
- on 8 October with the headquarters’ inauguration event, organised in cooperation with Confagricoltura
- Sunday 9 October, the “Romania through grapes and glasses” event, presented by Carrefour Romania, will be an opportunity to taste the wines of an emerging Country
- On 15 and 16 October, the public will be able to take part in two Wine Shows organised by Vinhood – a format that combines the blind tasting experience with the guidance of expert sommeliers – dedicated respectively to the world of sparkling wines and the intriguing theme of ‘The wines you don’t expect: curiosities and gems from all over Italy’.
In the Navigli District’s Superstudio location, the renewed partnership with Slow Wine brings with it the presentation of the new edition of the Guide having the same name (8 October, 10.30 a.m.): an opportunity to taste the selected labels thanks to a large tasting desk, hosted in the afternoon.

On 14 and 15 October, in Piazza Città di Lombardia, the event Calici Urbani will offer two days of wine, art, good food and music for the whole family, with products from different parts of Italy, accompanied by a selection of Street Food.
On 16 October, there will also be the Marathon Cantina Urbana, an initiative inviting the public to visit all the brand’s locations for a special wine party.
For music and wine lovers
On October 15-16 don’t miss Candlelight Concerts , evocative evenings during which it will be possible to taste selected references while listening to the performances of talented artists
The meeting of wine and jazz is on stage at the Blue Note from October 11 to 16 with a series of scheduled events.
This year, dates for wine lovers will also be in bookstores: presentations “between wine and culture” are scheduled at Hoepli with important Italian authors (October 8-14). And also at Eataly Smeraldo store it will be possible to participate all week in thematic events and taste special menus and pairings created for the occasion. Among the partner locations of MWW2022 is also Signorvino, with ad hoc events punctuated throughout the whole period.
