Milano Design Week 2024 the very best of food and beverage

The most awaited week of the year is approaching steadily and with great expectations. The legendary Milan Design Week 2024 returns in its springtime period, overlapping with Vinitaly in Verona but always brimming with installations and initiatives throughout the city. Yes, as every year, the city comes alive with initiatives and events where, inevitably, food and beverage meet design, art, and even music to accompany a 360-degree sensory and aesthetic experience of new forms and trends.

During the Milan Design Week, as part of the FuoriSalone initiatives, the concept of design embraces every aspect, including food. Appreciated by enthusiasts and novices alike who explore both visual and gustatory pleasures, food isn’t merely a spectacle to observe but also to taste. Thanks to its openness to collaborations, the restaurant sector allows itself to be influenced and revolutionized during the event, both in form and substance. Its influence extends over a wide spectrum of tastes and urban locations.

Here are some gastronomic events not to be missed during the most awaited week of the year, featuring iconic installations, extravagant performances, and unique projects with internationally renowned designers at Fuori Salone 2024:

Intense flavors and vibrant aromas create a sensory orchestra that transports the visitor into an emotional spiral.

The creative fusion of mixology and art is manifested in the work designed by Alessandra Baldereschi for the FuoriSalone, currently exhibited at the University Statale di Milano as part of the “INTERNI Cross Vision” show by INTERNI.

It is the result of craftsmanship with over 3,000 years of history, kept alive thanks to the knowledge of local women who share their weaving skills with Zacapa to decorate rum bottles. The bond made even stronger since 1999 when the brand actively started supporting these women, offering them opportunities for work and income for their families.
