Ristorante Acanto Principa di Savoia

Restaurants with dehors in Milan where you can feel elsewhere

The summer season has officially begun, even and despite the frequent rains and the restaurants of Milan are ready to welcome guests in their evocative dehors, special spaces ideal for spending special moments en plein air where you can enjoy the beauty of the city from another point of view, in a different, unexpected and refined setting.

The outdoor spaces, sometimes in courtyards away from the chaos, allow guests to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in the open air, combining comfort and protection from the weather and the street. A well-equipped outdoor areaoffers shelter from the scorching sun, but also from sudden rain, ensuring that the culinary experience is not interrupted. Additionally, it provides a barrier against street noise and pollution, creating a pleasant and peaceful environment. The possibility of dining outdoors in an elegant and welcoming setting can turn a simple going out into a memorable experience, increasing customer satisfaction and the prestige of the restaurant itself.

Locanda Sempione: the Milanese and Apulian tradition

In the restaurant you can breathe an elegant and refined atmosphere and recently an outdoor area has been inaugurated  where, with the arrival of summer, you can spend a pleasant meal.

Locanda Sempione is the restaurant located just a stone’s throw from the Arco della Pace and Parco Sempione. In the kitchen we find chef Tommaso Mandorino who, skilfully reinterpreting the various Italian regional cuisines in a gourmet key, offers a vast menu, which does not neglect the specialties of the Milanese capital.

In spring and summer the menu is renewed, offering various delicacies of Mediterranean cuisine: a selection of cheeses; spaghetti with cheese, pepper and citrus fruits; tagliolini cooked in shellfish bisque and much more. The wine list includes a careful selection of labels from both Italy and international vineyards, housed in the large wine cellar.

Just outside Milan

La Bettolina in Gaggiano

Located in Gaggiano, a few kilometers west of Milan, La Bettolina is a corner of peace and conviviality surrounded by greenery. The property is located in an old farmhouse of the ‘500 restored surrounded by  a large garden, with a  vegetable garden and an outdoor space where it is possible to eat both for lunch and dinner but also for aperitif in a context with an architectural  style between rural and post-industrial.

The menu retraces the Milanese and northern tradition with creativity, also offering a section dedicated to grilling with important cuts of meat. The ingredients are of the highest quality, many of which are home-made or sourced from local suppliers.

The prices and portions are those of a farmhouse, but the care and attention to each ingredient is not lacking in any dish, which can then be paired with a selection of cocktails and excellent wines. These restaurants offer not only excellent culinary options, but also outdoor spaces that allow you to enjoy the summer season in Milan to the fullest.
