The “Casa” phenomenon as brand positioning

From CASAMADIE to Casa Brera, the trend of places which focus on hospitality. There is a word that has appeared more and more often in recent months on the new Italian hospitality brands: Casa. It is not just a naming choice, but a real declaration of intent. In a market where experience, atmosphere and a sense of belonging count as much as the menu, being called “Casa” (home) means evoking comfort, familiarity and an idea of authentic hospitality.

From bakeries to boutique hotels, passing through cocktail bars and signature restaurants, the domestic concept becomes the language of contemporary catering. A trend that shows the desire to slow down, feel welcomed and experience spaces naturally.

CASAMADIE: a little Romagna, a little international bakery

The most recent example is CASAMADIE, an artisan bakery founded in Cesena in 2012 that has just opened its first restaurant outside Emilia-Romagna, choosing via Meda 11 in Milan.

The format proposes an all-day offer that starts from breakfast and goes up to international brunch, with centralized artisanal production in the Savignano sul Rubicone laboratory. In the window there are cinnamon rolls, leavened products, specialty coffee and a savory proposal ranging from Tamago Sando to Club Sandwich to French Toast in Tiramisu version.

The identity of the restaurant revolves around five values: quality, inclusiveness, artisanality, internationality and well-being. The interiors, with forty seats, are designed for those who want to stop and work, meet or take a break without haste.

To complete the project there are also the Paolo Experiences, cooking workshops led by Paolo Magagnin that transform the basement into a space dedicated to conviviality.

Casa Brera, the hotel that transforms brunch into a destination

The word “Casa” finds a different declination in Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel, one of the most recent addresses of the Milanese hôtellerie.

The  panoramic restaurant Etereo offers Sunday brunches and experiences dedicated to non-alcoholic mixology on the terrace of the top floor, transforming brunch into an appointment to be enjoyed calmly, between skyline and contemporary cuisine.

Here the concept of home does not recall the domestic dimension in the strict sense, but that of a place where you can feel like guests, and not just customers.

Casa Eminente takes Cuba to Puglia

Naming is also used for temporary and experiential projects. This is the case of Casa Eminente, an itinerant format signed by the Cuban rum Eminente. After Naples and Bari, the project arrives in Lecce in the spaces of Quantobasta, recreating the atmosphere of traditional Cuban paladares through dedicated cocktails, tastings and events. In this case, “Casa” becomes synonymous with culture, travel and immersion in the identity of the brand.

Casa Francesco, Italian hospitality speaks Ibizan

The concept also works abroad. In  fact, the Francesco Secci Group has chosen to call  its restaurant overlooking the port of Ibiza Casa Francesco. A contemporary Italian cuisine built around barbecue, conviviality and an elegant yet relaxed environment, flanked by the group’s other brands, Adiós and Il Dek. The goal remains to offer a place where you can experience authentic and informal hospitality.

The most recent is Casa Francesco on the port of Ibiza. An elegant restaurant, where grilled cuisine meets a careful selection of wines.

Francesco Secci, creative mind and founder, brings a contemporary vision of Italian hospitality to Ibiza, interpreting it through three brands with different identities but united by the same search for quality, authenticity and conviviality.

Casa Stendhal, the home of Italian hospitality arrives in Lugano

The same approach also characterizes Casa Stendhal Lugano, a new project by the Stendhal Group within the Collina d’Oro Resort & Spa.

More than just a restaurant, the restaurant was born as a modern inn open from breakfast to dinner, integrating Milanese cuisine, products from the Ticino area and an idea of hospitality that focuses on people’s well-being. The entire project revolves around the concept of “feeling at home”, a value that the group considers the heart of its philosophy.

Why “Casa” is the new trend in hospitality

The use of the word “Casa” tells of a very specific cultural change. Today, the public is looking for places where you can stay longer, work, have brunch, socialize or live experiences. Contemporary hospitality is not just about a dish or a drink, but a way of life.

This is why naming takes on a strategic role. “Casa” immediately communicates authenticity, warmth and a sense of belonging, qualities that are increasingly sought after in a sector where the perceived value also passes through the identity of the brand.

From Milan to Lugano, passing for Ibiza and Puglia, the message is the same: even before the menu, it is the idea of feeling at home that makes the difference.
